SYMPTOMS
ORA-04030 is reported while executing RMAN. The alert log confirms, this occurs while requesting memory for the heaps labelled: (KSFQ heap,KSFQ Buffers)
ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 1052684 bytes (KSFQ heap,KSFQ Buffers)
The trace file also confirms largest allocated heap is "KSFQ Buffers "

Bug 10635701.

CAUSE
This issue was caused by Bug 10635701 when the following is true:
ORA-04030 was reported while RMAN executedThe heap name is "KSFQ Buffers"SYS.DBMS_BACKUP_RESTORE.VALIDATIONVALIDATE was confirmed either by RMAN tracing or by trace file (see: string "al7sqlp")
